The Moon(or Luna) is Earth's only natural satellite. It was created as a result of collision between Earth and Mars-sized protoplanet Teia 4.53 billion years ago. It's 384399 km away from Earth and moves away from our planet at a rate of 3.8 cm per year. The Moon's gravity is 1/6 of Earth's and it has no atmosphere.
